The DEC3960 with two SFP28 slots and the DEC4280 with four. Deciso lists no SFP28 slots for the other models.
Does the module also fit an SFP+ slot?
Deciso lists the module as SFP28 at 25 Gbps and offers separate 10 Gbps modules for the SFP+ slots. Whether an SFP28 module negotiates down in an SFP+ slot is not stated by Deciso. We clarify that before you order.
Do I have to use Deciso modules?
Deciso writes that most standard LC-LC OM3 SFP+ modules and SFP+ direct attach cables are likely to work, but advises selecting a module from the tested list. The compatibility list is part of the OPNsense documentation.
